When someone first enters the Arabian horse world, they are hit with years and years of history! That is one of the many reasons I was drawn to this ancient breed. Their heritage can be linked back hundreds and even thousands of years! The work of amazing keepers of this breed all over the world. Those who knew it to be so important to keep record of all the amazing Arabians in the world for centuries to come. And the Crabbet/Kellog/Polish lines aren't any different.
Here I present to you SDV Amapola's, Amerige's, and Legacy's Michelle's grand sire. Their grand father. SA Lotus Elan's great grand sire. Amerigo was a very famous stallion whom not just won multiple awards himself, but was the father of the famous Khemosabi. A stallion who presented the Arabian horse world with a vision of an Arabian being beautiful and elegant, but also strong and a hard worker with an amazing heart.
And it isn't just the horses whom have their story continue through the years. On the far left of the picture you will see owner, Frisco Mari. Would you believe his daughters were our guides into the world of this amazing breed? Rose and Dorothy Mari were the proud owners of one of Amerigo's sons, Anello. They also bred and raised our 3 mares before we got them. They worked beside their father to produce some of the most amazing horses in the world. Although not related by blood, we hope they see their work and the work of their father continue and are proud.
