Alabama Storms

As a newly relocated Alabama resident from California, there has been a lot my animals and I have had to adjust to. The culture differences, the heat/humidity, and especially the on going storms that roll through. Trying to schedule barn activities around the lightning and thunder. Waiting for riding/training sessions while being sheltered in the barn while it rains cats and dogs. But even though it may be different, I have also found it quite relaxing. Watching the distinct clouds contrast the sky. Sitting back and listening to the rain hit the roof and watch the scenery be washed and renewed. The rolling thunder echo over the land and through the tree line. California is beautiful and my childhood, but Alabama has become home in so many ways. And sitting outside during the storm, listening to the thunder and watching the rain. It is a reason to go out and take a break.
